We at Lake County BJJ had an amazing time at Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville, IL. We took a group of 36 that consisted of members, friends and family. Both parents and kids had a great time volunteering for a great cause. The kids in our kids jiu jitsu program learn that volunteering and giving back to the community can be fun, and filled with laughs.
We at Lake County truly believe through martial arts we can make people better on and off the mats. I personally enjoy volunteering at FMSC, I really push our kids to participate, as it really shows the kids to be grateful for what they have, and how fortunate they truly are. Plus I think its a great for the kids to learn team work.
Events like this brings us together as a martial arts academy, it makes us more than just a jiu jitsu academy but as a family. You know its a great time when our members who work on Saturday nights are upset they are not able to make it.
